PALM SUNDAY, 1/2nd April. 6pm Vigil Mass on Saturday evening. 9 am Sunday Blessing of the Palms and Procession, weather permitting.
MONDAY OF HOLY WEEK, 3rd April. 9 am Mass.
TUESDAY OF HOLY WEEK, 4th April. 9 am Mass at St. Lawrence’s Anglican Church, Bourton
WEDNESDAY OF HOLY WEEK. 5th April. No Mass. (Fr. Stephen at Chrism Mass, Clifton Cathedral).
THE SACRED PASCHAL TRIDUUM – HOLY (MAUNDY) THURSDAY 6th April. EVENING MASS OF THE LORD’S SUPPER: 7.30 PM. Watch in front of the Blessed Sacrament at the Altar of Repose until 9.30 pm for those who wish. (Come and go).
GOOD FRIDAY. 7th April. 9 am. Office of the Readings and Morning Prayer. 3 pm. CELEBRATION OF THE PASSION OF THE LORD with reading of The Passion, the Solemn Intercessions, Adoration of the Cross and reception of Holy Communion.
HOLY SATURDAY 8th April. 9 am. Office of the Readings and Morning Prayer. 9 pm. THE EASTER VIGIL. 9 PM. The service starts outside in the dark, with the blessing of the New Fire and the lighting of the Pascal Candle. The faithful carry lighted candles into Church. Then follows the readings describing the history of our salvation. After this we process to the Font for the reception of individuals into the Catholic Church; the Confirmation of 5 candidates by Fr. Stephen (authorised by a faculty given by Bishop Declan) and the Renewal of our Baptismal Vows. Then follows the first triumphant Mass of Easter. The missal says: ‘Anyone who participates in the Mass of the night may receive Communion again at Mass during the day’.
EASTER SUNDAY. 10th April. 10.30 am Sung Mass Mass.
‘MIDNIGHT MASS’: 10.00 pm preceded by Christmas music from 9.30 pm, at Our Lady and St Kenelm, Stow GL54 1DR. Space available,
CHRISTMAS DAY: MASS OF THE DAWN 9 am Mass with music + carols (recorded if we are not allowed to sing) at Our Lady, Help of Christians, Bourton on the Water GL54 2ER. Space available.
