THIS IS THE NEWS LETTER FROM ST CATHARINE’S CHIPPING CAMPDEN.
Lockdown finishes next Wednesday, so Fr. Brennan will be able to resume public Masses. The first of these will be at 10:00am on Wednesday 2nd December. Thereafter, while precautions have to be taken for COVID-19, Masses each week will be at:
10:00am on Wednesdays;
6:00pm on Saturdays;
10:30am on Sundays.
For the Christmas season, Masses will be at the following times:
Wednesday 23 December 10:00am
Thursday 24 December 6:00pm & 8:00pm (“Midnight” Mass)
Friday 25 December 10:30am (Christmas Day Mass)
Saturday 26 December 6:00pm
Sunday 27 December 10:30am (The Holy Family of Jesus, Mary & Joseph)
Wednesday 30 December 10:00am
Friday 1 January 2021 10:00am (Mary, Mother of God)
Saturday 2 January 6:00pm
Sunday 3 January 10:30am
Wednesday 6 January 10:00am (Epiphany)
As previously advised, the three Masses on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day will have to be ticket-only, because of COVID restrictions. Booking is done by email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or by telephone (01386 701564) for anyone who does not have email. Following the relaxation of the social distancing rules announced by the government yesterday, a group from up to three households, where those households form a “Christmas Bubble”, will be able to sit together and the allocation of tickets will be done in such a way as to maximise the numbers able to attend each Mass. To give everyone the opportunity to attend Mass over Christmas, please reserve a ticket for only one of the Masses. The booking process runs from now; when you make a booking, please state: Which of the three Masses you wish to attend; How many seats you require; If anyone in your group of attendees is NOT in your Christmas Bubble.
Tickets can be collected from the stewards after Masses in December. If any parishioners under the age of 70 would be willing to assist with the cleaning and sanitising required to protect the congregation from COVID-19 at any of the above Masses, please contact Anne or John Robertson by replying to this email or by phoning 01386 701564.
Best wishes – stay safe,
